QUESTIONS

  • What if I need to change something in my order?
    Unfortunately, we are unable modify your order's contents once your order has been placed. This means we cannot do any of the following once you've placed your order: Add or remove items from this order Combine multiple orders into one order Substitute one item for another
  • What if I need to cancel my order?
    Our dedication to getting orders out to you in a timely manner, usually within a business day, means we process our orders quickly, and there is a very small window of time before it passes a point of no return where they have been packed up and are no longer accessible to us, and we are then unable to cancel an order. As long as your order has not be handed off to the post office, we will be able to cancel it. Please email us at odogcomics@yahoo.com to let us know you'd like to cancel your order.
  • Quantity limits
    In order to ensure availability to as many customers as possible, we reserve the right to restrict the number of comics allowed to be purchased per person. You are welcome to order as many different titles as you like, but will be limited to only purchase a single quantity of each title.
  • Item availability
    We do our very best to ensure our inventory is as accurate as possible, but we are only human. Errors and out of stock items are extremely few and far between, however, occasionally we may be unable to provide an item that you ordered due to an error in our inventory or a technical issue affecting our web site or other marketplace, or because we received more orders for an item than we have available inventory. Because we list in multiple marketplaces including the O-Dog Comics website and Amazon, it is possible to receive two orders for the same item from each venue if the orders come in at the same time. If you've ordered multiple items and one of the items in your order is unavailable, the remainder of your order will still ship. In the event of one item being unavailable, we do not pause processing of your order, and we are unable to support requests to cancel your order if one item is not available.
  • Cancellation Policy
    We reserve the right to cancel any item ordered, in which case you will not be charged or will be refunded if payment has already been provided. Although we reserve the right to cancel an item at our discretion for any reason, in practice the usual reasons an order might be canceled are: inventory error leading to not having the item available to fill the order; technical problem affecting our website or other venues like Amazon causing items to be listed that shouldn't have; or a customer attempting to circumvent quantity-based limits on items by submitting multiple orders or using multiple accounts. Please note that when comics become high-demand, especially when a TV show or movie is announced, and buyers rush to grab up all available copies, this is most likely when we will receive multiple orders for the same product and we can very easily run into inventory issues. When that happens, we can end up receiving two orders, one from O-Dog Comics and one from Amazon, but have only one copy available to fill it. We will fill one and not the other. Buyers who don't get their order filled will sometimes assume that we canceled the order so that we could resell the same item at a higher price. That is not the case - we will never cancel an order for a newly high-demand comic just because we want to relist it at a higher price.
  • Shipping and Handling Time
    All orders will be shipped within 1 business day. For example if you place an order on Tuesday before the end of the business day, the shipping label will be printed that day and then the package will be given to the post office on Wednesday. Orders placed on Fridays will be given to the post office on Monday. Please check the USPS website linked here: https://about.usps.com/newsroom/events/ for their list of holidays, on which we will be unable to send packages out but will be shipped on the following business day. We utilize the Ground Advantage shipping service through USPS for all standardly shipped packages, which the post office estimates to arrive within 2-5 days. For orders with expedited shipping, we utilize the Ground Saver shipping service though UPS, which they estimate to arrive within 1-4 days, depending upon your location.
  • Where do you ship to?
    We ship to all US States, as well as Armed Forces America, Pacific, and Europe. We will update this if we are to offer international shipping. Unfortunately we are unable to ship to prisons because orders shipped to prisons are frequently blocked by prison administration. If you have any questions about whether or not we can ship to your address, please email us!
  • What if I put the wrong shipping address?
    Our dedication to getting orders out to you in a timely manner, usually within a business day, means we process our orders quickly, and there is a very small window of time before it passes a point of no return where they have been packed up and are no longer accessible to us. Please ensure that you are putting the correct shipping address on your orders. If you notice that you've entered the wrong address, please email us at odogcomics@yahoo.com as soon as possible so that we may change the address before it leaves our hands. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses will be refunded at our discretion.
  • What are pre-orders?
    Pre-orders are orders placed for comics that have yet to be published and typically won't be available for at least 4-6 weeks. Pre-orders are a guaranteed way to get the comics you want, as you don't have to worry about comics selling out before you get your copy. You also have plenty of options when it comes to variant covers and when you want to receive your comics (see When do pre-orders ship). Any pre-order also receives a 20% discount!
  • Cover art on pre-orders
    In some instances, publishers are not able to provide any cover art for comics prior to their publication. This is not ideal, unless you really really really like an artist and are willing to take a chance and blindly buy whatever they may draw! Unfortunately nothing in the world is set in stone and cover art is subject to change. Occasionally, a comics publisher will advertise that a popular artist is working on a comic cover or variant cover, only to change who that artist is before the release date. For example, Frank Miller is advertised as doing a variant cover of Amazing Spider Man #70. Then, a few weeks before the book released Marvel announces the cover will now feature art by J. Scott Campbell. If this were to happen, you would receive the replacement cover with art done by J. Scott Campbell. Please understand this happens very rarely but we would just like to let you know that is is a possibility. We strive to make accurate cover art available so you can make an informed purchase. However, sometimes a comic publisher may not make a determination on final artwork until very close to the shipping date. Please keep this in mind when placing an order.
  • When do pre-orders ship?
    Pre-orders are shipped the Thursday following new release day, which is Wednesday. For example, if you pre-order Amazing Spider-Man #70 which goes on sale March 26th, it will be shipped to you on March 27th. When placing pre-orders, please take note of the date when the comic is to be published, as different comics will have different dates, and so while you may place the pre-order for all the comics at once, they will not all be published on the same date and will not be sent out to you all in one shipment unless you choose to have you pre-orders shipped monthly. You can choose to have your pre-orders shipped monthly, twice monthly, or weekly. This can be changed at any time, just email us.
  • By pre-ordering am I guaranteed to get my comic?
    It's as close as you can get to a guarantee. In most cases, the answer to this will be yes, it's a guarantee. However, there are rare situations that can arise where we may have to cancel an order: Publisher cancels a title or a cover and it doesn't ship. Publisher changes how many of a variant cover they are making available. Publisher/Distribution company is unable to fulfill the order on their end. In any case where an order must be cancelled due to one of the reasons above, we will do our very best to communicate with you and offer alternatives if they exist.
